Meditation for Beauty and Well-Being

The way to understand, realize, and experience these sayings is through Meditation. Meditation had been practiced since ancient times by sages, gurus, warriors, trainers and many famous people from all walks of life. By meditation, we can access or connect with our real selves within. We can realize and make effective the latent source of energy already existing within us. In practical terms, we can find peace, love, the powers of the body and mind to heal itself and control our destiny.

How does meditation helps with personal beauty and well-being?

To answer that we need to ask:

What is Beauty? And what is Well-being?

Beauty is a quality in a person, that gives pleasure to the one's senses or pleasurably exalts the mind and spirit.... loveliness...a beautiful person...

Well-being is the state of being happy, healthy or/and prosperous...

Most of us believe that we are all beings with souls or spirits. That is our true self. All religions believe that this soul is indestructible and eternal. It exists within the frame of the human body in its physical life on earth. And the mind is a controller.

Meditation ignites the power of thoughts or Mind Power by tuning the physical and mental energies to bring about certain results. So to achieve well-being the mind focuses on that. Meditation helps to control one's beliefs, feelings, and needs through first understanding and then altering the personality of the Self. Using questions like who, why, when, how and what, you can understand your true nature. Once you know that, you can proceed to eliminate the unwanted, undesirable negative thought patterns whether about the body or character. Examples like "I am ugly; I have no choice but to have a bad and terrible life", "I do not deserve any happiness because....." and other such negative thinking embedded in one very deeply.

Then you replace these negative thoughts patterns with positive new ones. Examples, "I am not ugly, and my life can be wonderful". "As a human I have the right to be happy." And most important perhaps, "I can make my own happiness and wellness."

As you start to believe and accept yourself, it is possible to be able to become a better and positive person. Health and mental state improve, confidence increases and the result is a general sense of well-being from within. And since much of beauty is related to one's mental states, one feels and looks better.

The Process

To start meditating one must first come to the state of complete relaxation and stress-release. This is the Alpha state, where one is neither connected with the thoughts of present or the future, only to the present moment, &ndash "NOW".

Having eliminated stress and worries one becomes clearer, focused and relaxed in body, mind and emotions.

This is the right frame of mind to start the positive thinking process. Whatever positive thoughts you wish to achieve is done through the techniques of autosuggestion, positive affirmations of intentions and other methods. They influence your attitudes, behavior, and thoughts.

During this process, one focuses onto the subconscious mind. It is here that the thought patterns picked up in early life are deeply embedded. Some of these are positive helping an individual become a happier, balanced, and optimistic in his or her life. But many are negative, and lead to a person being unhappy, impulsive and unbalanced.

Once you start to meditate, the average person will take between a few weeks to a few months to start feeling the benefits; one will be able to see or realize changes in their feelings as well as the expression on their faces. A happy calm mind will reflect in a happy, calm and so more beautiful face; for it is worries and frowns and chronic dissatisfaction or anger which often changes the look of our face. If one is successful and perseveres in one's meditation practices, over time it will result in less wrinkles, a clearer skin, a general sense of well-being and a youthful younger appearance.

Some practical tips:

  1. Close your eyes and relax for a few minutes... to let your active thoughts slow down.( you can use a light soft music to help you, if you choose).
  2. Do some deep breathing, for few minutes, and release stress.
  3. Remember that beauty and well-being is within you. Focus your thoughts on the aspects of your beauty and well- being you would like to have in your life. Take note of them. Write them down after your meditation. E.g. clearer skin, feelings of irritation, a firmer chin, etc.
  4. Start also realizing any negative thoughts you may have which are preventing you to achieve these.
  5. Start exchanging or replacing any of those negative thought patterns by reprogramming (autosuggestion) example: "I am now replacing this negative thought of not being happy in my life" with "I AM happier now and know that all good things which are meant for me have already started coming my way".
  6. Visualise your goals one by one, as if you have already achieved them; how does it feel.
  7. With a beautiful smile and positive confidence, open your eyes and write all taken note at no.3 and how you felt at no.6 above.
  8. Plan the actions necessary to manifest the goals with full faith and trust that they will come to you very soon ahead.

Maintenance to your commitments and all your intentions to manifest is very important. You have got to work on all you intend to have, your beauty and well-being, in life everyday. It is like the way we brush our teeth, bathe, eat and sleep everyday. Many people fail and get lost in life because they are not fully committed to complete all they start and do not take the necessary actions.

If you stay committed; you will soon realize how amazing, beautiful, loving and fantastic you are and deserve to be throughout the rest of your precious life. And how all abundance to do with your well-being - happiness, love, respect, good health, and good relationships come your way. Your face and full-personal structure will glow and shine for sure.

Remember that beauty and well-being is within you. Focus your thoughts on the aspects of your beauty and well-being you would like to have in your life.
