In this personal testimonial, I would like to share a short story of how "Awaken ~ The Divine You"^® courses at The Golden Space have helped and supported me to improve my life and my once lost life purpose. One year ago, 11 October 2006, I came to The Golden Space for consultation. At that time, I just ended a painful marriage but I was still facing the harassment from my ex-husband who was staying under the same roof and he refused to sell the flat, etc. In addition, I was frustrated with the occasion experience of heart pain, where my counselor at the family service centre had tried in vain to help me to release the hidden emotion which was causing the pain. I recalled I prepared a lost list of some 30 over questions for Umesh, hoping for quick-fix solutions. Umesh had shredded light on my questions and the most important message I received that day was, "First of all, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!" On the 17 October 2006, I attended my first lesson at The Golden Space. As I was going through the courses, I was progressively save and the appropriate skills to heal and empower myself. I realized that I was able to practice and slowly internalize the skills and knowledge that was taught and making it a part of me to face my ever-changing chaotic life with more courage and positive state of mind. My life is improving… I had sold my flat, my heart pain was released and I am heading towards a new life. I have experienced the timeless sincerity and enjoyed the beautiful nature in the school and just outside the school premises. I have finally come to understand the meaning of surrender to the Universe, going with the flow and also deeper appreciation of being in the "NOW", by letting events unfold by themselves. I also happened to silently witness Umesh's compassion and subtle transformation work on a depressed stranger who happened to be staying at the school while we were there. I reflected on my initial fearful impression on this stranger and learnt the importance of non-judgment on other's behavior and how to use sincerity, love, compassion and wisdom to serve and help others as a light worker. Last but not least I wanted to share is that, in order to make beautiful changes in my life, I am the one who is fully responsible. Determination, courage, right effort, commitment and persistent are required to walk the path that I choose. What a wonderful experience and love every minute of the retreat! A beautiful sanctuary, good vegetarian food and wonderful people too. Looking back from the Basic Meditation Course, I have definitely come a long way. I have more confidence in myself and have become more intuitive. I decide to attend the "Awaken-The Divine You" workshop to be held over a week in Bangalore, India. It was conducted by our teacher-Umesh H.Nandwani. Apart from having a need to be there, I had no expectations. What happened over a short period of a week blew my mind away. The place where we stayed -The School of Ancient Wisdom - is a magical place. It's literally a piece of paradise, heaven on earth. Its liked stepping into another dimension. It's simply breath-taking. The people, food and ambience were great. I have also discovered that as a group, we had great synergy. We were simply having fun learning, discovering and sharing every moment, every day. I am so sorry to say that some of my experience can't be put into words. Its beyond description. The preparation for one of the major transformations in my life had already started before leaving for Bangalore. Three days of severe headache and nausea - the left side of my hand was aching so bad that I could not do anything but sleep. I felt very fresh just like I was reborn on the morning we left. My inner-self knew it was going to be "wonder-full" and I was excited and full of energy that morning although I hardly slept the night before. As we arrived at the School and once we were inside, it was just like a heaven. The word kept coming back to my mind. It is a heaven. As I wrote the word now, its energy just flew in. It was not just because of lots of beautiful flowers, birds and butterflies, but because the energy there was very gentle and nurturing like a mother holds her child. Everything was forgiven. The retreat sessions were also very different from the last time. Supported by the positive energy, I found the sessions went smooth and visions and messages were much clearer. At some point on the second day, I had an insight that I wanted to come here with that particular group of people. The energy was more balanced and lighter. After mentioning it, I felt all of us in the group had rapidly become as one. Each of us had the same level of access to everyone, not forming small sub-groups within the group, which was really great. Miracles after miracles revealed themselves from the first day. We were already invited to our Mother's place. Some of us even had an opportunity to rest and recharge ourselves there since the Mother knew we were tired after travelling from Singapore. It was such a place filled with white light and multi-dimensional, cosmic energy that I felt we don't need to communicate with words. Once you step in the Mother's house, you shut up and enjoy the energy. Oh yes, everything was so obvious and showing that we were surrounded by love. Clouds, angels and Gaia - they were all there to communicate with us. How can we forget that? I could not picture having a heaven on Earth before, but I was clearly shown it is possible and it is actually there. It's all up to us. We will show the way to the heaven on Earth with golden light and golden chocolate.

Before embarking on the "Awaken ~ The Divine You!" programme, I have always wanted to learn meditation but never made the effort to find a workshop that is suitable for me. I believe I was guided to come to The Golden Space, for till now, I still don't know what made me sign up for the programme without any thought and without asking any questions. That was back in December 2005. I had my first taste of meditation on Christmas Eve, and I am grateful to Umesh for giving me the first few lessons one-to-one (I was the only student). Since then, I have seen many changes in myself - physically, mentally, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. The programme was the spark that started my journey in search of spiritual growth. Before that, I have always felt that there was more to life than working, enjoying leisure time with friends and family, indulging myself in material pleasures, etc. My previous job was very stressful, and I was almost burnt out. The programme put me on the path of discovery and recovery, and I have not looked back since. I learnt many things and acquired the knowledge and tools to live my life in a richer and more fulfilling way. Throughout the programme, what was taught sounded familiar to me on a certain level. It ignited my interest to explore more on my own. I have since learnt a lot of things from various sources, although there is much more to learn. I have made many good friends with fellow students and I enjoy immensely sharing with each other our experiences in our journey. I have become calmer, more peaceful and less hot-tempered. I am much more confident and centered now, I feel lighter in the body (although I am physically fatter than before), more loving in the heart and clearer in my mind. Currently, I am experimenting with various methods of manifesting my desires. I have seen success on the "smaller" things which manifest very fast, and am working on manifesting the "bigger" things. The Master Course Level 1 at Bangalore was great. I especially love the School of Ancient Wisdom where we had the Retreat. It was a beautiful place, both physically and metaphysically. I have dreamt of living/working in such a place with the special energy and aura. It is so healing and loving there. During the retreat, we met with the School's founder and her associate - they are such wise and loving people. We learnt many things and received numerous special "gifts". I would urge everyone to make an effort to go for this Retreat. If you have gone to Nepal Retreat and thought that was great, wait till you go to Masters Course Level 1. You will not be disappointed. I look forward to going on to Masters Course Level 2 in Bali next year, and Masters Course 3 wherever it will be held. I'm sure I will have many more great experiences in beautiful surroundings. When the "Divine You" is awakened, it is only the beginning. It is the beginning and real living instead of leading a life of ignorance, lost and blind, meaningless existence. Then, in this Masters Course Level 1, one would find out that even in realizing the 'Higher Self', there are different levels. One has to learn how to put things to work, and at the same time, elevate oneself higher. There were very valuable experiences throughout the Course. One becomes more assured of oneself (not in an egoistic sense) and realizes more - one's life mission, one's expandable energy and power. Some of the visualizations involved are indeed powerful and enhancing. The last exercise with loud, strong music - setting everybody in a free movement dance was like a Sufi exercise of setting oneself free and yet keeping one's centre and awareness. It involved letting go of the ego and being in unison with the music. In doing so, one set oneself free. I enjoyed the whole Course. It re-inforced the sense of family, sisterhood and brotherhood.

A person's willingness to surrender to a higher state of consciousness at the expense of all ego attachments. Being aware of what you do and of everything around you. Forgiving yourself for the past mistakes. Being in the "NOW". Having faith and trust in the Universe and in yourself. And, most of all, taking that action that will bring you closer to God. These are what I learnt in Masters Course Level 1. I was scared and had doubts about myself before, but now, I feel empowered. All I have to do is to remember my beautiful wings and all is well. I feel so much love in my heart that it is bursting to radiate to everyone I meet. I know that from now, everything in my life will be fine. I just have to be brave to face everything because I know that I am not alone. I thank all my brothers and sisters who came and gave their love and support to me throughout this great learning. And I thank Umesh and Sheila for making it possible for me to come and experience all these. It is so definitely worth coming!
